Inflammatory bowel conditions are a diverse group of conditions that share common symptoms that unfortunately affect a person's entire balance.
Abdominal pain manifests itself in a dull or stabbing manner, like a constant grip that alters one's perception of one's body. Every meal can turn into an unknown, with sudden abdominal cramps that radiate and impair daily life. Persistent diarrhea, often accompanied by blood or pus in the stool, is certainly the most disabling symptom: it can be a powerful intrusion into everyday life, similar to flatulence and abdominal bloating.
Added to this is often a chronic fatigue that is difficult to explain, a sense of exhaustion that finds no relief in rest. It is also not uncommon to experience unexplained weight loss, a tangible sign that something, at a deep level, is not working as it should.
In these situations, emotional well-being also suffers from a persistent imbalance, generating an altered self-perception, as if one's body no longer responds to the usual signals of balance.
Different conditions respond to this symptom picture: diverticular disease, infectious colitis, post-infectious colitis, drug-induced colitis and microscopic colitis.
Colicron Duo represents a useful nonpharmacological adjuvant to treat all causes and symptoms associated with these conditions, with an innovative, synergistic approach designed to regain a lasting and profound condition of balance.
Intestinal inflammations never appear by accident. They are the outcome of a slow slide toward an imbalance involving multiple factors, often silent, but capable of profoundly altering the physiology of the gastrointestinal tract. Underlying it is almost always a complex interaction between individual predisposition and external conditions, which over time undermine the gut's ability to maintain its structural and functional integrity. One of the most relevant mechanisms isaltered intestinal permeability, a condition in which tight junctions between epithelial cells lose cohesion, allowing the uncontrolled passage of unwanted substances and thus triggering a chronic immune response.
This alteration is often associated with gut dysbiosis, that is, an imbalance in the microbiota, with a decrease in beneficial bacterial species and a proliferation of potentially pathogenic microorganisms.
This change in gut flora can be induced by multiple factors: unbalanced diets, prolonged use of antibiotics, chronic inflammation, constant psychophysical stress, and, in some cases, even by drugs commonly used to treat other disorders.
When the microbiota becomes depleted, the entire gut and the body at large is affected in cascade. For example, the production of short-chain fatty acids and other metabolites essential to the well-being of the intestinal mucosa is compromised in the gut.
Oxidative stress represents another critical junction in the genesis of inflammation. An imbalance between free radical production and the body's antioxidant capacity can cause deep cellular damage, fueling persistent inflammatory processes and promoting tissue degeneration. In this scenario, infections-whether bacterial, viral, or fungal-can also contribute to the activation of the immune system, potentiating the inflammatory cascade and aggravating the clinical picture.
Behavioral habits also have a nonnegligible impact: sedentary lifestyle, poor hydration, fiber-deficient diet and an irregular sleep-wake rhythm can compromise intestinal physiology and contribute to the onset of predisposing conditions.
There is no single cause, but rather a set of factors that, in their intertwining, outline a fertile ground for the development of inflammatory bowel conditions. Understanding these dynamics is essential to recognizing the disorder in its complexity and returning the gut to its role as a key organ in maintaining systemic health.

The efficacy of Colicron Duo stems from a multifactorial formulation that intervenes on multiple levels, with the aim of restoring the functional balance of the intestine and promoting a physiologically healthy environment. The synergy between its active components allows it to act in depth, thanks to a complete mechanism of action that combines anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, probiotic, prebiotic and pain-relieving properties.
The active ingredients are divided into the two pharmaceutical forms of which the product is composed, capsules and tablets, to maximize dosages and their effectiveness.
Berberine and Quercetin, contained in the tablet, have important anti-inflammatory and antioxidant actions. Both molecules help to reduce the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines and free radicals in the intestine, as well as strengthen antioxidant defenses, thus counteracting inflammation and oxidative stress in the intestinal mucosa. Both Berberine and Quercetin contribute to the reduction of intestinal permeability by promoting the expression of tight junction components, barrier strengthening, and reducing apoptosis at the intestinal level. Berberine also has an important antimicrobial action, which is useful in cases of infection.
The probiotic component relies on the Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG (LGG) strain, one of the best known and most studied in the world. This bacterium in general promotes the rebalancing of the intestinal microbiota. In particular, it performs multiple probiotic actions: it stimulates the production of short-chain fatty acids and tight junction expression, contributing to the maintenance of the mucosal barrier; it exerts anti-inflammatory action; at the level of symptomatology, it is effective in reducing the duration and frequency of diarrhea episodes.
Complementing the product's action are the active ingredients Hericium, Undaria and PEA, in the capsule together with LGG, each of which provides targeted benefits.
Hericium promotes epithelial tissue renewal due to its high concentration of β-glucans, with a prebiotic effect useful for supporting the growth of beneficial flora.
PEA helps counteract inflammation and exerts a pain-relieving and calming action on nerve endings.
Undaria, with its fucoxanthin content, protects PEA activity by inhibiting the enzyme NAAA, which would otherwise degrade PEA in the intestines.
Colicron Duo acts in a targeted manner to counteract all the typical causes of inflammatory bowel conditions and related symptomatology, offering concrete support for bowel function, with an approach that is respectful of and consistent with the body's natural self-regulatory mechanisms.
